SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Please note that I am not accepting new social media clients at this time.

It kind of makes sense that I would ultimately become a social media manager. My “big break” came because I tweeted at my favorite band, they replied to me, and now I am Shearwater’s keyboardist and I run our social media accounts.

I am an experienced social media manager for indie rock bands. My specialty is breaking down the fourth wall – bringing the band to the fans – making the band more accessible so that fans feel like they are a part of something special. I work closely with music labels (Sub Pop, Nonesuch, Merge, Secretly) on coordinated announcements (releases, tours). I’ve run several highly successful crowdfunding campaigns. And I’ve optimized streaming sites (Spotify, AppleMusic) so that fans can find what they like about their favorite bands quickly.

I have also managed a long-running advocacy and impact campaign surrounding the documentary, The Hunting Ground. Live-tweeting congressional hearings. Becoming a trusted source for important information. Advocating on behalf of survivors. Working with partners to coordinate political actions. Moderating conversations between followers with varying points of view.
