Treasures of New York: Friars Club (WLIW)

Music Supervisor

Treasures of New York is a documentary series that explores New York City’s premier cultural institutions.  It explores the history of these landmarks, how they became important, and what they are now. Usually for this series, I would select music that set a historical tone – many of the programs focus on cultural institutions that grew out of the 19th century and are still around today. However, for the Friars Club show, I had to come up with a pool of music that was more humorous and slap-stick, there was also a lot of big band jazz. The music from this series is from the DeWolfe Production Library.
